How it works

Three steps, that's it

Book a time that suits you, we turn up when we said we would, and in most cases the appliance is working again before we leave.

A technician at your door, tools and parts in hand
01

Call or message us

Ring us, send a WhatsApp, or fill in the short form. Tell us the appliance and your area, and pick a time that suits you.

02

We come to you

A technician turns up, usually within the hour, with tools and the parts most breakdowns need. You hear the price before any work starts.

03

It gets fixed

Most repairs are done there and then. We test the appliance with you, clear up after ourselves, and stand behind the job.

Why people call us

We'd rather fix it once, properly

We've been repairing Daewoo appliances in UAE homes for around ten years. We're not the brand's own service centre, we're independent, and that's usually why we can get to you quicker and cost you less on an older machine that's out of warranty.

The technician keeps the common Daewoo parts in the van and only fits new, proper ones. And if a repair isn't worth your money, we'll tell you plainly instead of just taking the job.

  • Same-day and next-day slots, seven days a week
  • You hear the price before we start, so there's no surprise after
  • New, genuine replacement parts, not cheap copies
  • Every repair is backed by a warranty
  • Technicians come in uniform and clean up before they go
  • If it's cheaper to replace than repair, we'll say so

One call, and it's usually sorted

Ring us and we'll find the fault, tell you what it costs, and get on with it. Most repairs are finished the same day we come out.

Troubleshooting

What's actually wrong with it?

Ten years of call-outs teaches you which faults come up again and again. Here's what we find most often, appliance by appliance, and what usually causes it.

What usually goes wrong with a washer
Washing machines

What usually goes wrong with a washer

Some of these you can check yourself in two minutes. The rest need someone with the tools. Either way, here's what we find most often when we open one up.

It won't turn on

Nine times out of ten it's the power supply rather than the machine. Check the breaker feeding the washer is still on and flip it back if it has tripped. If it keeps tripping, the breaker itself needs looking at.

It moves around on spin

Put a level on the top. If it's sitting unevenly, adjust the feet until it's flat and that usually settles it. If it's already level, worn suspension rods are the next likely cause and they need replacing.

It's making a racket

Most of the time it's a coin or a bit of grit rattling around inside. Take it out and the noise goes with it. If it's still loud, something internal like the motor is on its way out, and that one needs a technician.

The water won't drain

Nearly always a blockage somewhere in the drainage system. Have a look in the filter and clear anything sitting in there. Giving that filter a clean now and then stops it coming back.

It won't spin

Usually there's simply too much in the drum. Take some of the load out and try it again before you assume the worst.

There's a smell coming from it

That's bacteria and grime building up inside. Run it empty on the hottest setting and it'll clear.

Clothes are coming out ripped

Something sharp has got in with the wash, or things are tangling around the centre pole. Worth checking how the drum is being loaded.

It won't fill with water

Start with the water hoses. They kink and block more often than people expect.

Fridge faults we see week in, week out

A fridge problem gets expensive quickly once the food starts going off, so these are the jobs we push to the front of the queue.

It's freezing food it shouldn't

A broken thermostat is usually behind this. It controls the voltage going to the compressor and the evaporator fan motor, so when it's off they run longer than they should and take everything far colder than you set it.

The ice maker is overflowing

Check the water inlet valve. When the pressure through it isn't high enough the valve doesn't close properly, and the extra water ends up in the ice maker or leaking into the freezer.

The freezer isn't cold enough

Feel whether the rear wall is cool, then listen for the evaporator fan running. If that fan isn't turning, it needs repairing or replacing.

There's water leaking

A blocked defrost drain is the most common source by far. After that, it's usually a damaged water supply line.

Ice is building up on the freezer floor

Check the defrost drain first. Once it clogs, the water has nowhere to go and simply freezes where it sits.

Why a dishwasher stops doing its job
Dishwashers

Why a dishwasher stops doing its job

Most dishwasher call-outs come down to a handful of things, and a few of them you can rule out yourself before you pick up the phone.

It won't start

Power again. Check you haven't blown a fuse and that the breaker is working. Trying it on a different circuit rules that out as the cause.

There's a smell

Food debris, almost always. The machine needs cleaning out, and the filter at the bottom needs taking out and washing too.

The plates come out dirty

Start with how it's loaded. Overloading or badly stacked dishes stop the water from the spray arms reaching everything. Scrape the bigger bits of food off before the plates go in.

Nothing is drying

Check the rinse aid first and top it up if it's empty. If the rinse aid is fine, it's usually the heating element or the high-limit thermostat.

It's making loud noises

Something inside is broken or blocked. Check the spray arms aren't loose or sitting crooked.

It's dripping

Look at the door gasket. If it's cracked or damaged it needs replacing. If it's intact, give it a proper clean and get into all the folds.

Cooker and cooking range problems
Cookers & cooking ranges

Cooker and cooking range problems

Cooking is the one thing you notice straight away when it stops working. These are the faults that bring us out most often, on gas and electric alike.

The temperature won't stay steady

If food is burning on one side and undercooked on the other, the oven can't hold a temperature. It's usually the thermostat or something connected to it, and once that part is replaced you're cooking again.

You can't adjust the heat on an electric hob

If the burners won't stay hot, the infinite switch is the likely cause. It sits behind the dial, and it isn't one to attempt yourself.

The electric oven won't heat

The element should glow red once it's switched on. If it doesn't, one or both elements need replacing.

The electric hob won't turn on at all

Four usual suspects here: a damaged knob, a faulty control pad, a broken element, or a surface element switch that needs fixing.

When the AC stops keeping up
Air conditioners

When the AC stops keeping up

We service Daewoo air conditioners alongside the kitchen and laundry appliances, so it's one call rather than three.

It isn't cooling properly

This is the big one, and there's a list of possible causes: a dirty outdoor unit, clogged air filters, low refrigerant, a failing motor, or simply the wrong mode selected on the remote.

Water is leaking inside the room

Usually a cracked or rusted drain pan, a faulty condensate pump, or a drainage pipe blocked with dust, debris, algae or fungus.

Water is pooling outside

A little water outside is normal and evaporates on a hot day. A worrying amount usually means the temperature is set too low, or the unit wasn't installed correctly in the first place.

It's humming or buzzing

Thumping from the outdoor unit points to loose fan blades or parts that have worked their way free. A loud buzz normally means clogged filters, debris caught in one of the units, or something loose.

How we work

What we're aiming for

Better tools, better training

We keep putting money into up-to-date equipment and keep our technicians learning. It's the difference between guessing at a fault and finding it.

Do the job properly

The aim is simple enough: be the people you call for any Daewoo appliance in the house, and do the work well enough that you call us again.

Turn up when we say

Reliability is the thing we care about most. A time that suits you, a technician who arrives, and a price you heard before the work started.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know before you book

No. We're an independent repair company that works on Daewoo appliances. We're not owned by or authorised by Daewoo, so if you need the brand itself, head to www.daewoo.com. Being independent is what lets us come out the same day and keep the price down on machines that are past their warranty.

In most of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman we aim to be at your door within the hour. Same-day and next-day slots are open seven days a week.

We check the fault and give you a price before we touch anything. If you'd rather not go ahead, that's completely fine.

Yes, new and genuine. We carry the common Daewoo spares with us, which is why so many repairs get finished on the first visit.

It is. The work comes with a warranty, so if something isn't right afterwards you're covered.

Daewoo washing machines, fridges and freezers, dishwashers, cookers and cooking ranges, ovens, microwaves, dryers and air conditioners.

As a rough guide: give the fridge a clean at least every three months, the dishwasher once a month, and cooktops, ranges and wall ovens every three months. The gas burners on a hob are worth doing monthly.

Yes, they last longer. An appliance that gets neglected uses more energy than it needs to and wears out faster than it should.

It depends on the appliance and what it needs, so there's no single answer. Weigh up how old it is, what the repair costs, how efficient it is compared with a new one, and the size of your household. We'll give you our honest read when we see it.

Most run for somewhere between 10 and 15 years. Past that, even with good care, they rarely keep working properly.

As soon as you think something isn't right. There are a few things worth checking yourself, but don't leave a fault sitting for weeks, that's usually how a small job turns into a big one.

Over the past ten years, everything from dryers that don't dry properly to AC units that won't cool. A lot of it traces back to the same thing: no regular cleaning or upkeep.
